OUR STORY
We’ve operated a very small-scale distillery for a few years and mainly focused so far on research and development of unique distilled products to fulfill our grander distillery dreams.
In response to the COVID-19 outbreak in 2020, we quickly changed priorities. When the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) authorized production of ethanol-based hand sanitizers by permitted distillers, we swiftly redeployed our team in order to keep them employed and help provide an essential need to the country.
The FDA's temporary use authorization for distilleries to make hand sanitizer expired on at the end of 2020. Due to regulatory restrictions and associated costs, it is not feasible for us to continue to make hand sanitizer. The remaining ethanol has been turned into bioethanol fuel for ethanol fireplaces.
